The whistle blows and the time out’s over… you know what you have to do… you realize what is at stake…. You know the other team will try to stop you… you know that this is what you have worked for…. You know what you have sacrificed… you step onto the field, court, or pool and your ready… your not scared… your nervous but not scared…. You’re not cocky… confident but never cocky… you know what you have to do…you not unsure because you know that the guy next to you will do everything is his power, to allow you to do, what you have to do... you want this for your coaches,,, for the fans,,, for yourself,,, but most of all for your teammates… who have worked alongside you in the blazing heat,, when any lesser team would’ve quit…. When any lesser athletes would have made excuses… when any lesser school would have surrendered,, for the teammates, who pushed themselves and you to the limit,,, when the coaches were screaming,,, and the pressure was off,, when no one was watching… because they, your teammates, wanted to get here too … you want this for them… your friends, your peers and your brothers… now is the time… and your realize this, all in the matter of seconds before you realize what you have to do… now is the time,,, and your ready… you know in your heart that you can… you know in your heart that you will…
