And this is the story of an alpinist, who always wanted to get further and further.
Certain day, the alpinist, after years of preparation, tried to climp the Aconcagua. He resolved to go alone, without any companion. He started climping and it was getting more and more late. In all his glory, he barely noticed the night that was coming. The night came, like the darkness in the mountain, not being able even to see your own hand in front of your nose.
Climbing through a wall, only 100 meters from the top, he slips and falls. He fell at vertiginous speeds, and could only see the blur that passed by, faster and faster in the darkness.
All he could feel was a terrible sensation, being sucked by gravity. He continued falling and, during these moments, all the happy and sad moments of his life passed by his mind.
Suddenly, he felt a strong pull, that almost broke him apart - smack! Like any experienced alpinist, he had a few security clips, along with a long rope, which he had fixed in his body.
During these silence moments, suspended in complete darkness, all he could do was scream. So a voice came:
- What do you want from Me, son?
- Do you believe that I can save you?
- I'm sure, said the alpinist.
- So cut the rope that holds you...
And there was a moment of silence and reflection. The alpinist held even more to the rope, thinking that if he let it go, he'd die....
And so, tells us the rescue team: the next day they found a frozen alpinist, dead, holding with both hands to a rope... No more than just 2 meter from the ground.
What about you? Are you still holding to the rope?
